Gene; I don't even have to go to the A.C. library to research this club (but I promise that I will). I have a hard cover coffee table type book sitting on my glass coffee table in front of my sofa in A.C. that I wish I had in front of me right now here in Brick. I'm absolutely certain that there are pictures of the 500 club in that book that I can recall seeing. While the 500 club was still open in the 60's and probably into the 70's as well, I don't know for sure that there was any illegal gambling going on there at that late date in the club's history. I know that Sinatra had performed there and Sammy Davis, Jr. and Martin & Lewis, etc.... More on this thread next week.
