Re: The Real Issues
In Response To: The Real Issues ()

Jim, I have been in the antique business for 30 years

When the word RARE is used, the meaning is to available of such item.

A item where supply is greater than demand cann't be rare.

How many chips can you name where supply is not greater than demand.

I was present in the home of the owner of the Little Caesars 25c

chips when they where offer to everyone there to reach into the

sack for a $1.00 you could pull out as maney as you could get in

your hand he had thousands of them.

The Blast from the Past chips where destroyed by the casino after

the show, the $5.00 chip about 225-250 are out in collectors hand, I don'tcall the chip RARE because the supply is greater than demand. Maybe someday if

demand exceeds supply it would be call RARE but not now

I believe using the term RARE is misleading as calling a fansty chips

as rare. Everyone goes up in arms when a e-bay ad calls a Borland chip

RARE, I believe only common sence & honest with yourself can determine
useing the word RARE
