The bidder was my youngest sister. She entered the bid using a single Netscape page and was still able to get the bid in after she was outbid just 36 seconds before the auction ended (which just goes to prove that even 30 seconds before the end may be too long).

The doll, BTW, is a duplicate of one that my mother bought for my sister Suzie when she was a small child (actually, Mom bought one for each of my two sisters, using the money that I contributed one week to the family fund from my job as a retail clerk -- which was one-half of my net pay).

Suzie wanted the one on eBay to give to my two-year-old grand-niece, who keeps trying to sneak off with Suzie's!! It will be a Christmas present.
