Re: My definition of OBSOLETE
In Response To: Re: My definition of OBSOLETE ()

Hi Gene,

As I understand current CO gaming regs, a casino that is closing has 90 days to explain to gaming how their currency will be destroyed and must arrange with another open casino to redeem outstanding chips and tokens for a period of at least 120 days (I think), then they are trully obsolete in that they can't be redeemed by the substitute casino. While the info that I received regarding the Lilly Belle's $25 chips was suspect when I received that opinion, I respect the man who expressed that concern when it was made. ...the definition of "closed" may have played into some erroneous descisions in the past... Ya never know here, because places like the Rohling Inn still have lights on inside and machines in place almost a year after locking the doors.

Thanks, Bob
