I never learned to play the game, but have watched it. Watching was enough for me. The bets are called conditions. $1 condition and so forth. It is somewhat like Gin. Played out of a 10 deck shoe, played at a round table, mostly by little old ladies.

AND THEY ALL CHEAT.

1st time I saw it was at the Saraha in 1980. The players have a habit of throwing bad cards under the table. At the Sahara I counted 6 cards on the floor. The game resembled a cat fight. It was and maybe still is a big game in California card rooms.
