Re: ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS

Me, too (sharing costs, that is). Won't be making the convention because of my wife's ongoing health problems, which make it impossible for me to be away from home overnight, but would be happy to help with any research, letter writing, etc. I also do not know Colorado consumer law, but doubt that consumer laws anywhere would prevent what the Lodge is doing. On the other hand, the gaming control people of any state, including Colorado, probably have the authority to prevent or restrict such sales. I'm not ready to give up yet on convincing George Turner to do something (received yesterday a snail mail copy of his email response comparing this proactice to U.S. Mint sales; may or may not be the same thing -- certainly the profit margin for the Mint is not nearly as high, particularly for coins containing silver). The real point now is not whether the Lodge is violating CURRENT Colorado gaming regulations, but whether we can convince gaming regulators to adopt regulations which WILL address the problem. ----- jim o\-S
