Bookdealer is Back

Bookdealer (now known by me to be named Brad and to have the address
Memolane@aol.com, among others) is back on eBay with another false ad
lot description. See eBay lot # 21841773, which he describes as a WWII
Nazi chip. I have sent him (and Jo King at eBay) the following message:

> Hello Brad the Bookdealer @ Memolane -----
>
> The chip which you have offered in this lot is neither a "Nazi" chip nor particularly rare. Chips of this type ("inlaid") were made by several American manufacturers in the early 1900's. It is hard to tell for sure from the photo, but this is probably an SYT or SYV code chip in Dale Seymour's "Antique Gambling Chips" catalog. His book also has
> reproductions of some early 1900's catalogs and the 1908 U.S. Playing
> Card Co. catalog shows this chip in its "Paranoid Inlaid" design (1
> 9/16" in diameter).
>
> The claim that German soldiers used these chips during "layoff hours" may be true, if they happened to have acquired some from the United States. The claim that this is a "WWII Nazi" chip, however, is demonstrably false.
>
> I do not intend to engage in another long, acrimonious dialogue with you. If you have not posted a correction to this description within 24 hours, I will notify the bidders of the true facts.
>
> Jim Reilly (still waiting for you to tell me your real name)

Be interesting to see what this character has to say about this one.
