The Hyatt Regency,Lake Tahoe experienced so much "theft" of their chipco wheel chips the first year they were used; that they could not open their third wheel table on New Years Eve 1995!. When two or three of each color has been removed, the whole color must be taken off the table. Once two colors are gone, the table is closed. Since I am involved with their brass core chips, they asked my advice and I suggested they quit ordering good looking wheel chips with their name on them. They ordered the ugliest hot stamps available. and have not had a problem since. Unlike nice brass chips with denoms on them, wheel chips disappear and casinos hate it when they did not realize a fat profit for the "removal" of their chips. Facts of life...its gonna happen. Wheel chips will disappear, few will be arrested, some will be embarrased when caught, the rest of us will continue to enjoy seeing the challenge of chipping being discussed from these very astute contributors to the topic.
