Re: BIG chip find!!!!!

All right!! One heck of a diatribe. I love it.
I must answer Archie on why roulettes are getting prettier. The Nevada Gaming Commission mandated that all Casinos would have their name, city, and state on all chips. Otherwise many casinos would still be using the same old drab generic chips.

There is a big difference in buying in for .25 or .50 per chip and buying in for $1 per chip. A large casino like Harrahs AC ($1 minimum) is probably paying .70 plus tax for chips. A small profit per chip.

A smaller casino is paying more, ergo a loss. Casinos have come a long way from the dark ages of chipping, say pre 1992, in regards to us taking chips home. They even make an occasional chip just for us.

They still have grave concerns over their roulettes. Somewhere I read the "Chippers Golden Rules" written by club members. I don't remember the exact words, but it had to do with obeying the casino policies. This is a policy.

Eyeryone that posted on this subject is right in their own minds. I doubt if anything posted here is going to change anything. I do think THIEF is a bit strong of a word. Maybe it is - maybe it ain't - but I won't use it for roulette chip pilfering.

I intend to stay with my policy. I will not take roulettes ( mainly because I hate the game too much to play it) BUT I will aid and abet this crime, by trading with the rogues that do.

I mad at whoever it was that started all this because - I wish it was me.
GOOD CHIPPING GANG - THAT GOES FOR YOU ROGUES ALSO.
