Re: New Collectors Educational Forum

I also have a home alarm system. It helps but is by no means 100% secure. I set if off a few times on purpose just to check on the responce time. Averaged between 20 and 30 minutes. A professional burgler knows this also. He can kick the door in and do a lot of damage in 19 minutes. ( the alarm co gave me H--L for checking up on them)

I also looked into safes at a company that did locks and safes for the Four Queens. Two kinds - 1 was safe against most fires - 2 was safe for most burglers. Two years ago you could not get both features in one safe.

So I said to myself: Do I want to melt them or let the teenager down the street pry it open with a tire tool. Go for the burgler proof!

Then I think, my brother in law is going to stop at the 7-11 and brag to everyone about the huge new safe I bought. He never could keep his mouth shut.
Then I think, 2 guys that look like Dennis Rodman and Hulk Hogan are going to kick the door in at 1 AM. With guns drawn. Open the safe!! Of course I got the answer ready. It is on a time lock and can only be opened at 8:45 AM with 2 passwords. Me and my brother-in-law. After they blow my head off, they leave. But, my chips are safe in the safe.

I like my safety deposit box.
