Re: New Collectors Educational Forum

Bud Jones sells chip racks with a top and bottom for about $1. Holds 100 chips. I number the racks, scan the chips, code them to a rack. I have two large safety deposit boxes, one full and one with plenty of room. There are 7,000 chips and other odds and ends in them. I would say 30 more racks would fit. They cost about $100 each per year. Not much for the peace of mind it brings.

I still see, enjoy, and show my collection to friends. A collection is nothing unless you can show it off. I sold a very large coin collection in the 70's because I was afraid to keep it at home and had never heard of a computer.
I can find a chip in seconds. Wait until you get a few of those albums and see how hard it is to find a chip, and to keep them in some kind of order.
Everyone has a system, this is mine. I love it as I have been through the old house break in trick 4 times. Three times it was someone that I knew and the other time it was a friend of someone I knew.
