Travis, Your words bring reason & rationality to this topic that started out as a simple statement about fantasy chips being sold on eBay as "movie props" or real casino chips. Let me add my 2 cents worth about "walking" with roulette chips. I have been in many casinos & have watched that little white ball roll into many different slots through the years. Unfortunately, many times that ball falls into the wrong slot! I have approached dealers or pit bosses at the wheel & have identified myself as either a chip collector or the co-author of a book on casino chips. I ask if the house would mind if I BOUGHT a chip or two to include in my collection or have it scanned into the book for historical purposes. If I am refused, I walk away, but return at a later time when there is a new dealer or a shift change. I BUY in, put one or two in my pocket, & play the rest. I would never think of going back at a later time, asking for the same color & playing for a higher denomination. I am a roulette "thief", but not a cheater. I have an envelope sitting in the other room, which I know has a few roulette chips in it. I'll check back with you later.
