So I am doing my weekly scan of estate sales and what do i see but one that has silver strikes listed along with a nice collection of gold rings so I figure that I just have to go there even though it is 45 miles away. No only do they have 80+ silver strikes but also a bunch of framed chip sets. Unfortunately the chips are nothing that I need and most of the strikes are 3 times what I would normally pay. So I picked up the two $40 strikes shown since I got them at silver value and left a low bid in on the rest of them. All of the jewelry was also priced at well over melt value so I could not afford any of it.
Then this morning I headed out to another town where they have a decent coin show. The first table I went to the guy had just bought a full rack of chips and I managed to pick up a few that I thought were reasonably priced. Then the last table before I left I see a guy looking thru a full book of casino chips. After he was done I looked and managed to pick up some nicer cruise chips that I need. Finding chips in TN just never happens so this is really strange but I am happy that I went to both sales.
