I was never in the Rendezvous, so I don't have a 1st hand memory of it. Just the chips. The "Big Nickel" name is new to me. Was it a slot area inside the hotel and separate from the live games? The restaurant's name inside the hotel (per your menu)? I have no idea.

Of course, it became the Gold Spike. Live gaming until about 10 years ago or so. Then ups & downs as described on the ChipGuide.
