Re: Unique downtown LV casino relationships

I read through it (or at least skimmed it all). The part about Fremont Street continuing to be publicly owned is interesting. I wonder if the size limit for outdoor casino-operated bars and such conforms to the width of the old sidewalks when Fremont Street was an actual street. (Assuming that the casino / property owners originally owned the sidewalks next to their properties prior to FSE?)

If you want to go down yet another rabbit hole, do a search on the "free speech circles" that started some years ago. Per a quick Google search, there are 38 of the 6-foot diameter circles painted under the 5-block FSE canopy for the "street performers". An unusual solution you don't see every day. Competing interests and constitutional "protected speech" all rolled into a novel experience (or sometimes, a confrontation) for most tourists, though it seems to sort-of work itself out.
