Jim the hobby is thriving

It's the clubs relevance and attitude that's dying. Just look at how many chips sell on eBay and the thousands of dollars that change hands between set collectors (Oh thats right, were the enemy) and you'll see that the hobby is alive and well. It's the CCA club that is sick and on life support.

I truly admire Barry Sherwoods outlook and interest in sustaining the club but sadly it may be too late. The old guard will only allow so much change and will capitulate to the old guard ways which are the current demise of the CCA. Life members, hurray! But they bring no value, only "status", their money is long gone and spent.

True membership is the total number, less life members and "associate" members who also bring no value. So now you're around what 500? which was once above 2 or 3000?

Do what you've always done and expect a different result.
