I first got these from a collector in Germany in the early 1990’s, a Reggie something-or-other. This gentleman was such a passionate collector, that he actually found my phone number and called me unexpectedly, no easy feat in the early 1990’s. He said they were from a German casino, but since they have no serial numbers, I have come to regard them as jetons for a private game. There are also “Casino Manhattan” jetons very similar to these attributed to a “military casino” in postwar occupied Germany.
Anyone else remember that guy Reggie in Germany? He sounded elderly back then.
