Everyday I review ChipGuide traffic logs. When I notice unusual traffic, like too many requests from a single IP address, I investigate. If I determine that the requests are not in the best interest of the ChipGuide, I ban the IP address. One example would be a "bot" that is making so many requests, it is hurting performance. I have no idea who the user is, just that the IP address is sending bad requests. I do not know your IP address and I did not ban you. You must have been banned because of the requests coming from your IP address. What is your IP address? I will check it out.
