Thanks for really unravelling my collection! I admire the efforts of those who collect certain denoms, cities, moulds, colours or even every casino in a state. For me I think my personal challenge is as many casino's from a time period as possible. They are all sorts of denoms mostly because of affordability. For example the $5 California club is beautiful, but way too expensive and so I am content with a $25. I likely will never add a Flamingo chip or Golden Nugget chip for that very reason. I do rather enjoy cross comparing the different moulds and the standard of chip the different manufacturers produced. Sadly I have decided to not purchase TR King chips anymore after I found out about the reproductions from the 1990s which casts doubt on the historical provenance that I crave in my chips. For me they are time capsules that witnessed history. I think curating with a strict parameter is very important. In Pokemon card collecting you can collect certain sets which makes it easy to collect and so for chips I self-imposed a rules so that it did not become overwhelming.
