Here is a yearly update of my pre 1966 inlay Las Vegas collection. This is centred around the pre corporate 'ring-a-ding-ding' Las Vegas. It features chips prior to the arrival of Howard Hughes, Caesars etc that greatly reshaped the look, feel and history of Vegas. This includes a 1963 Sands chip when Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr still regularly performed together as well as a 1960 Desert Inn chip from the year Ocean's 11 released. Not only do they represent a high point and legendary era in the history of Vegas but they represent the art style of the era well too. One only has to look at the Last Frontier, California club, and El Rancho chip with the great little art pieces to see the era captured so well. This is still small, but its growing slowly.
