There seem to be so few people left among us who are knowledgeable about dice. You being one of them, I'd like your opinion on these older (50's) Wilbur Clark's Desert Inn dice.

My question is, what explains why the hot-stamp colorations are missing? In particular, on the 2-spot side, the cacti coloring is gone. Perhaps that color of foil was missing? There is also 1 die where the impression of "Las Vegas Nevada" is present, but no coloration. These 5 were pulled from a box of 20 or so, of loose dice. The box was labeled as Taylor & Co. There are nicks on the edges, as if they were used in play, and none are cancelled.
