Don’t feel too bad, most of us can probably tell at least one story of the ‘one that got away’.

I lost a few of these ‘holy grails’ over the years, which usually resulted from not bidding high enough on thinking ‘there is no way anyone will bid higher than that’ lol.

About 10 years ago there was a chip I really wanted which I thought was ‘worth’ about $10 bucks, or less, but I was desperate for my personal collection. I had the high bid of $2.50 with seconds left and I made a late bid of $20 just to make sure I won. Of course, in the last second I lost it to the winning bid of $20.50. 😞

I FINALLY saw the same chip I still needed, 7-8 years after the one I didn’t win.

The new auction bid was at $10.50 with less than a minute to go and I decided I am not going to wait another 7-8 freaking years and I put a bid in of $200! Yes, I ended up winning it for $77, to someone that will probably have to wait another 7-8 years for one to show up again..😀

Moral to the story? If you see an item you really have to have get off your wallet and pay whatever is needed so you don’t wait several years to find another..😄
