The fight between Oscar De La Hoya and Wilfredo Rivera (billed as the “Title Wave”) was held on Saturday December 6,1997. Held at the Atlantic City Boardwalk Convention Hall and sponsored by Caesars Palace, the fight was for Oscar’s WBC title belt. De La Hoya would win via 8th round TKO.

$25 chips were made for the fight, but never released. I have no idea why not, but some say Oscar was not thrilled with his likeness on it.

I have three different variations: the first - notched, the second - notched but with a serial #, and the third is un-notched. Difficult to find.
