I once played in Barry's Studio City game when I was in L.A. on business. Jay picked me up at my hotel and drove me there. Thanks, Jay.
I visit Seattle regularly and would make it a point to see Barry if I could. He would call me every once in a while and we would catch up on each other's lives.
Great guy. Generous, smart, very knowledgeable and someone you could always rely on.
Here's something most people won't know about Barry. Barry was a major buyer and seller of rare Nevada chips. He told me that at one time he owned two, yes two, unbelievably two, of the first issue $1 Showboat chips. He said that he sold them in the early days of the club for around $1,000 each.
I'll miss you, Barry.
