In the early 1960s after the closing of Cuban casinos the game of baccarat came to Las Vegas the Sands the Tropicana the Stardust the dunes the Riviera the Sahara all had beautiful baccarat rooms … After the initial success of this game there weren’t enough highroller players to support these elaborate baccarat rooms which mainly sat empty during most of the day and night… The Stardust Casino closed their Baccarat room and then reopened it again in the 1980s with a rebirth of the game … $20 chips were used in the baccarat rooms I assume the reason the Stardust chips are mostly all knew is because of the closing of the locker room in the early 60s
