Is William (Bill) Lee the guy, by any chance?

He shows up on some T. R. King cards for some Asian chip orders, one of which is associated with the Tai Lee Company.

I noticed that there are also Tai Lee Co. L-mold chips too.

He was a successful Chinese-American business man in Bakersfield. I did a little research on him, but found no connection to gambling. I posted a couple of 1940s articles mentioning him in the Archive of the "Sunset Company" listing. More of his order cards are posted under that entry. He owned the restaurant to which the Crown chips were sent;
