Re: Test Part 1
In Response To: Test ()

It's imperative that someone in a higher authority step up and declare a suitable resolution to the nonsensical idea to limit chip collectors to just one session at almost the show's ending day on a Saturday.
I have attended over a dozen conventions since becoming a member, and have enjoyed the comrade and friendship with fellow chippers.
The trade sessions are an important aspect of every convention. Here's where you meet new members, learn what they collect, and make deals that are acceptable to both parties.
Here's my objection to the change. Why did all the senior leaders allow this action to be suspended without bringing it up to the general membership for any input of how it would affect the member's signing up, paying fees, gathering extra chips all year long to continue the very enjoyable tradition of meeting, talking about chips and trading with each other like all the past years?
Using myself as an example, please digest these numbers. I have a large amount of chips to trade that I personally acquired by purchasing from casinos, or from websites -- mostly owned by club member dealers -- in a bulk amounts with the intention of taking these extra trader chips to the convention. That's one expense. Then, figure in my air travel this year, round trip cost me almost $1,200, my convention registration fees, hotel costs, car rental and food expenditures places me in a tough position when I look at the total monetary expenditure.
