Even though I will be a dealer this year I think it is necessary to point out some facts about the convention finances. According to the year end financial report the convention generated about $38,000 but "lost" about $150 overall. The dealer tables did account for about $5100 in income but the auction and Doug's raffle generated $11,500 or about 1/3 of the convention income. Registration generated another $4700 so the point can be made that the convention attendance is just as important as dealer fees. In case no one else read the report, the club lost over $19,000 last year. At that rate the club (including the MOGH) will be out of money in 12 years. I would say that it is time tighten our belts a little.
