Jerry, As a long time dealer I fully support your decision. Trade sessions do nothing, but provide a means for people to circumvent the system by not paying for a table. If people want to trade, sell, or buy casino chips, then pay for a table, and you can sit around all day and trade your chips. The dealers that pay for their tables is what makes this convention work. Without dealers you have no convention.
