Rich, I saw this chip today...
In Response To: Question re El Cortez 5 ()

On THE ChipGuide page of The Mapes , I see six chips with a 5 on them, but no dollar sign. I also saw three "25" chips and a "100" chip; all with no $.

So is it safe to say that when those chips were made in the 1940s, and there were no NCV chips, that they didn't use a dollar sign because it was a given?

I mean, I don't know when NCV chips were introduced or why. Is there anybody who knows the history of NCV chips and can pass along some knowledge to us?
