I just watched a Flip or Flop restoration. During the episode they showed a montage of what was being done. The screen gab below was on screen for only a second or so. The pic would indicate that no wall plates are removed before painting.

No wonder it takes me so long to paint a room. I know professionals use little tape (unless spraying). I, however,remove every plate and grill and go through 2 rolls of tape.
