Thank you. I got it now...

Inserts are edge spots, spotted and inlaid but sometimes the inlay is confused with inserts and may not be an inlay at all but a hostamp or diecut.

Whew. How 'bout them pips and blobs for the win!?
I always though blobs were table gunk?
