Good eye Pete!

Yes, probably the easiest to spot difference between the Hobo and New Hobo fonts is the G. The Hobo font has a G with an extra "spur", and the New Hobo font is missing that extra spur. Thanks for introducing me to that word.

It also makes it easier to see that Portland used a different font than the font on the SqSqRt and SqSqDi molds. None of the SqSqRt chips on the ChipGuide with this font used the letter G, which turns out not to be a commonly used letter, but a couple of the SqSqDi chips do have the letter G on them. I'm also convinced that the SqSqRt chips have the same font as the SqSqDi chips

Portland Card Company's "Gracie's" hot stamp chip used a font smaller in size and it has the Hobo G. The "Mystery Distributor" used a slightly larger hot stamp font with a New Hobo G. Side by side, it is now easier to see that they are different fonts in both size and design.

Portland Card Co. "Gracie's" chip - - - - - - - - three Mystery Distributor chips all with "G" on them.
