Some 25+ years ago the chip was in a club auction (maybe Doug’s auction). The chip sold for $5k (or was it $8k??). Anyhow most thought the winning bidder was crazy. Chip was not heard from 20 years or so. Buyer died. Son sold chip to current owner.

The $75k transaction meant little to the seller or buyer.
