~~~ template the post office uses to measure envelopes without touching the thickness of the slot opening which proves that they are less than 1/4 of an inch thick... and the cost is $1 for a single chip. I buy these at my local Walmart... and, though a bit pricey compared to bulk purchasing, they're the only ones I know of that are less than 1/4" thick.
