I'd probably have the same reaction that you did. While his email did explain why he cancelled your bids, he could've asked if you were bidding for yourself or someone else, instead of assuming that you were bidding for another person.

From reading Tim's chipboard posts, and from the posts of other chippers, I'd say he's probably a nice guy. The coincidence of the chips that you bid on must have produced a "knee jerk" reaction from him. Now that he's had some time...and you've had some time...I hope the two of you can work it out amicably.
