This year I am planning on attending the convention for the first time in several years.

I attended three conventions from in 2010-2012 (or maybe it was 2011-2013?)

Those years I attended, I had a great time attending the show, auction, poker tournaments, a few seminars, etc.

However, I never attended a convention banquet. I think Jim Perlowski scared me away from those, back then.

I read Westen and Doug's post about the banquet and it got me wondering a couple of things.

In past years there were themes..one year I attended was a patriotic theme with the statue of liberty, one year I attended it was a pirate theme, etc.

Other than this year being our 25th Anniversary, is a there a theme for the banquet/convention?

Also if I decide to attend the banquet, is the seating assigned or open seating? I know some groups of people reserve entire tables, and was just wondering how that works.
