The convention trading sessions are well-attended

& usually quite lively, so trading is not going away. The thing about the convention trade sessions is that there are plenty of people to trade with, you can actually see the chips that you are trading for, you do the trading face-to-face AND there is NO SHIPPING COSTS involved. I don't trade...probably traded three or four chips in fifteen years. I collect mostly obsolete Las Vegas chips and only one of each, so what's in my collection usually stays until I go to sell it/them. Also, with my area of collecting, there's really not a lot of people that trade those & as noted by others, some people seem to value THEIR chips higher while they value yours lower -- not worth the hassle.

I don't know where you live, but you might ask the Membership Officer for club members in your state and try to arrange a trading session at someone's house or local restaurant. Best of luck in your pursuit, Dan.
