~~~ field of seventeen again; sureley nowhere near that many in our club elections, my feeling is that it's at least educational to hear the thoughts and ideas of more than one or two candidates... and if pinned against the wall I can also accept the thinking of only a one candidate election being good...

Regarding the low voter turnout remarks; I said the same early on, but did come to realize that sometimes when the majority of membership is content with the way things are going and can easilly see an outcome, there is no reason to not do what some might expect of them.
