The Chip Board Archive 24

Hi Torrey, this is my post to John grin

There were 547 PAL'S chips in 7 denominations between the two eBay auctions, not just four 5c chips as in your find. It does sound like the safe in Reno had several different casinos and different chips molds, maybe for sample displays. I think there is about 10 Jones Brothers Large Squares Mold chips in Nevada making the mold rare in Nevada. With the weight of chips found (547 PAL'S) split between 2 different molds from New Orleans, the Jones Brothers territory and the (4 PAL'S) chips from a Reno safe, I will stand firm about my deduction that these chips were used in the Louisiana area or surrounding states and not in Nevada.

Having fun Steve. grin
