Re: Help with and ID - SqInCir mold

I really like the mystery in relation to the image on this chip. It is almost like a Rorschach ink blot test.

I recently bought this chip from Jim Forsman, and showed it to my wife, telling her that I thought it was a pineapple. She told me that it did not look like a pineapple, and that it had to be something else.

Looking at it closely, I wondered what are those lines coming in from the top and bottom of the "shield". They kind of look like cave stalactites hanging from the ceiling, and stalagmites growing from the floor of the cave. In fact, the right three "stalagmites" are directly under three stalactites. I remember from taking a couple of cave tours that stalagmites actually grow from stalactites dripping dissolved limestone onto the ground directly below them. Eventually the stalagmite and stalactite can meet up and form a column.

So in short, I see this as a floating "pineapple" in a cave, with a ribbon below it.

Also, I vaguely recall seeing a white $5 version of this chip.
