Re: Today's finds...A little History Sacramento

Additional tidbit: Sonja's last name appears to have been Tucker, she was a partner in the 40 Grand Room:

"Application filed by Mr. Lloyd G. Hickey and Willie G. Kaiser and James Dong, requesting the transfer of
card room license, Forty Grand Room, 1819 Del Paso Boulevard from Sonja Tucker and Lloyd G. Hickey to
Lloyd G. Hickey, Willie G. Kaiser and James Dong, was received and referred to the City Manager for a
report."

This from an ancient (1967) set of City Council Minutes that I was able to call up. Very long, near the end of the proceedings after the Mayor left the meeting. (Google key words Hickey Forty Grand etc. and it hopefully will come up.)

Come to think of it, this James Dong character -- must have been the guy who had his own chips called "Jimmy Dong, Inc."
