Re: Waterfront Casino Club UK Help Needed

Robert

Problem is I went into the casino the week they opened. It wasn't open long before it was rebranded Spielers and finally closed. This was a small casino built into the annex of the Westcliff - they only had 2 roulette tables and 4 card tables (blackjack and 3 card poker) and around 8 slot machines from memory. The 50p hotstamp was in use from opening until they closed - I used to go at least once a month for the entire few years that they were open.

I agree that the chip seems to match the higher denominations, but even if they needed a 25p chip for roulette, 100 chips would have been the absolute max, and I never saw one in use anywhere. Knowing that they had so few fractionals, I can't see why there would have been 2 styles of chips.

I suspect I may have been one of the only chip collectors who went to the Waterfront ( I would imagine most of the chips in collections came through me), and so worried that I will never know for sure !!!
