For those chips that I know the price of I use the chip rack method just so I know what the approximate price was. After the convention I come back with around 600 chips and there is no way to know each price so I just take a good guess unless the price is on a flip. One reason for doing this could be that if you die then your heirs will at least know not to give away certain chips.
