Interesting result on recent sale of one of the Caesars Palace $1000 Baccarat gold tokens.
According to listing, it is 10 karat solid gold and 35.6 grams, which equates to about $700 melt value, if my calculations are correct.

We've seen similar tokens posted on the BB in recent months, but I don't know if any actually sold or not.

Final value on the ebay sale was $1056, or about 50% in excess of melt value.

There were 2 underbidders at around $1000, so some additional demand, but thin, for this item.
