Re: are club members required to pay higher prices

The original post questioned why club members had to pay such high prices. That's why I asked my rhetorical question. It would be as if I read the sales posts on this board and asked why Irish-Americans had to pay so much. This board is not just for club members any more than it is for Irish-Americans.

For the record, mailing a chip in a bubble mailer costs $1.64 in postage if you use an on-line mailing label service, or $1.95 if you go to the post office. A mailer costs around 20 cents if purchased in bulk. PayPal generally charges 35 cents for a small payment transaction, and more for a larger transaction. Payment by check could cost a seller $25 if the check bounces. As for how someone can charge $3 for a $1 chip, I sometimes wonder how they can charge so little.
