I don't know how many hours I've spent trying to make circular crops of chips with an opaque background using Photoshop. If I don't crop the chip correctly it doesn't have depth to it and looks one dimensional.

I'm curious as to which scans look more appealing to you; A or B:

Am I wasting my time making the background "blend" in with the chip? I appreciate your opinions.
