Granted, there were tons of "personal sets" made... and (in my opinion) w/o knowing for whom; where and when... and even then, it will depend on every state, county and city law if those chips are to be considered illegal. So, your "lmbo status" will serve well in such cases.

I would think if there was a law stating "gambling is not legal is Greenfarmstown, KY," then any chip made for anyone for use in Greenfarmstown, KY, would be an illgal chip... no matter where (club, bar, house or henhouse)... even if not knowning whose chips they were.

...but, I doubt anyone will go to such an extent (to search each towns' laws) in order to label a chip illegal.
