ChipGuide Submission Info

This is my response to a chipper who asked how long it takes to process ChipGuide submissions. Please keep in mind that while we have several volunteers working on submissions, we all have work, family and other responsibilities. I do not pressure the administrators, remember they are VOLUNTEERS and receive nothing in return for working on the ChipGuide, other than the satisfaction of helping the hobby. We all appreciate your patience. If you are interested in becoming a ChipGuide administrator, please contact me, choice locations are available. We provide training and free chip image editing software.

"In the last few months we have been swamped with new submissions. Since June, we added over 12,000 items. We migrated over 1,000 chips from Mike Behiel's Canadian ChipGuide. We added Atlantic City table chips and then we had A.C. limited edition chips submitted and tokens, perhaps a 1,000 items. We added the Global ChipGuide and migrated 3,000 chips from the Jason Skinner's U.K. guide. We have several thousand of Janice O'Neals casino reports to put on the ChipGuide. Alex Cilento donated his extensive collection of over 3,000 Las Vegas chip scans to the ChipGuide. Other collectors submitted about 3,000 chips using the ChipGuide submission feature, of which there are still 1,450 waiting to be processed. The long and short of it ... we process the stuff that can be handled quickly (images are already properly edited) in a few days or weeks. Items that require more extensive work could take months right now. Please continue to submit and we will eventually catch up. You can help by editing your images before you submit. If you need help on how to edit images, just ask ... we can provide training and free software."
