While the image is large, it is still only at 72 dpi. Technically I would be shrinking it more then 50% so the dpi would more then double to over 144, but that isn't the best way to do it. It's sort of like tricking the eye, Take something large and then shrink it way down so you don't notice the edges are a little pixelated.

Anyway, I have a couple of people who may be able to provide scans to me at 100% and 300 dpi, so I think I may be set.
